Is this attraction still there or is it gone with Harry Potter?

This is the attraction with the swirly water tunnel thing right? Or am I making this up?

**shudder** worst attraction in Universal, along with Twister.
Those are moments of my life I'll never get back :lmao:

however I don't know if its still there, but I've not heard anything about it shutting tho

:goodvibes

From what I understand it is still open. Most of the Lost continent is being consumed by Potter; however, I think it's still going to exist in some capacity. Mythos restaurant, the Sinbad stunt show, Posidon's Fury, the Mystic Fountain, and the carnival-like games are still there.

From what I heard the water vortex effect is no longer in the attraction. It was the best part of the attraction in my opinion.

It is still there, walked past it just the other day. I enjoy this attraction when the water bridge is working.

Oh no!

That was the only good thing about that attraction! I thought that bit was crazy cool! (although I was scared that it would stop and I'd get crushed by the water or something!)

*sigh* I may just see it just because it's there!

They could re-theme it to Harry Potter and make it a mass port-key!

eeeeewwwww Twister! I don't want a remember... I remember in '97 I was 8 years old and we went to US and we went to twister... well ... we not only got water in our heads but also a sticky and yucky thing in our heads..... still can't figure out what was that.... a Universal Studio Trauma....

It is still there(for now) My friend works there and is at Harry Potter. It will more than likely change to something else in the future. But it remains without the water vortex. That is an effect they haven't used in while. I know it has been off for at least a year or more.

OMG .... not even Twister deserves to be in the Poseidon category. It's been 8 years since I've been and it's still painful!

I visited Universal this July on a business trip and was without my family. I went through all of the rides again, having been there a few times in the past, with this question in mind -- will this ride be good for my 5 year old DD? I did both Twister and Fury again. Needless to say we won't be going on either attraction this May when we visit.

The only redeemable factor about Twister is the flying cow. It's a flying cow. The queue though is very terrifying. All about destruction on a quite realistic and scary scale. And the video they show? -- I think my DD would run out of there screaming.

Fury. Ah, it looks like a ride. It's in a big, awesome looking mountain, but they fool you. It's not worth the wait or the time spent there. Do it once, say you've done it, you don't have to do it again.

Poseidon's Fury was good....years ago. (Like in 2001...) When the vortex water was a tad more, uhm, hygienic. I took some friends to see it in 2005 and was severely disappointed. I love the façade of the attraction and the rest of the area. I hope some of the treasure that Harry Potter will bring into US's coffers will vamp up the other areas in the parks. As for Twister, I couldn't last through the show. I wanted to see the cow fly.:sad1::guilty:
