Portofino - Garden view rooms

Hi everyone!

I have lots of questions as this will be my first trip to Universal Studios...

How are the garden view rooms at the Portofino in comparison to the Bay view and the Deluxe rooms?

What part of the hotel are the garden view rooms typically located (east, west, floors, room numbers etc.)

Do the rooms have a shower? (I only see the description of the deluxe rooms stating "separate shower and tub")

Hey there! You will love Portofino. It is a wonderful resort. The Garden view rooms face well, gardens....it's very pretty. lush landscaping all around. The bay view face the piazza. It's breathtaking.

Deluxe rooms can face any but I had a garden view and faced the smaller pool.

Deluxe rooms have a tub and a shower. Standard rooms have a tub with a shower.

Spidey--does that mean I cannot book a deluxe room with a piazza view? I would take my chances at check in? I am considering an anniversary trip in October and would like a deluxe room for the tub, but would also want the piazza view.

There are some deluxe rooms that face the piazza if I am not mistaken. I did not have one, but I believe there are a few. I would request it now if possible.
The garden view really was nice too. Not as romantic, but lovely.
