Do standard garden view rooms have balconies?
What is the best location to request?

It has limited balconies

You can request the room types that have balconies but it is not guarenteed

Balconies are now an extra charge. Most are suites of some sort.

Rooms closer to the boat dock would be my first choice

If you spend a lot of time at the pools, request room closest to the pools

Are the boat docks and pool far away from each other? I have no idea how the resort is set up.

West wing villa is closest to the beach pool and dock.

There are three pools - the "main" feature pool is #24, the hillside and villa pools are the "quiet" pools and are #23 & 25.
The dock for the boat that takes you to CityWalk is #43.
The West Wing would have you close to both the boat dock and the feature pool but a little farther away from the main entrance to the resort (#42).
