PS for Portobello Yacht Club can now be secured through central reservations. I'm dying to try this place.

when are you going?? love to hear a recent review, I havent been there since 1997 ! it was great then :)

Laura :)

We ate there last week with no PS and about 10 minute wait. The food was good but we had a waiter who must have just started and had a very thick Italian accent that we could hardly understand. Therefore service was slow for us although other tables were not. I had the ribeye steak w/parmesan crust (in keeping w/Atkins) it was good.

I was wondering whent they would get around to putting Portobello in with the other WDW-DINE spots. Wonder if Fulton's is now there also???

Still waiting on Fulton's. The PS Calculator and PS Report have both been updated with the new Portobello information. Oh, it wasn't mentioned directly, it's a 90 day PS restaurant. :teeth:

I'll be going on November 11. It's our anniversary. Staying at POR, thought it would be nice to take the boat over, have a nice Italian dinner and take in Pleasure Island. I saw a picture of the Interior and it looks festive enough, maybe not the intimate anniversary-type place, but I'm looking forward to it.

This is by far my favorite Disney restaurant! I wanted to eat there for my birthday dinner last year, and they made a big deal out of it. Unbeknowst to me, my mom and my aunt had popped into Portobello's earlier in the day, explaining that it was my birthday and asked if the server would deliver a birthday gift after dinner. They didn't miss a beat. When my mom and aunt met up with me and my boyfriend for dinner, they later said they were concerned because the maitre 'd acted like she didn't know who they were, and they thought the gift my brother had sent from California would be lost forever.

We enjoyed several pitchers of their homemade sangria (yummy!), shared some appetizers, and had awesome entrees (I had my prawns over rigatoni, not linguine!). After dinner, our waiter Joey led a conga line of people holding a cake with candles and my gift. I also got my own special birthday card from Joey. Had I not had a few sangrias under my belt, I'd have been embarrassed. Many people from surrounding tables came over with well wishes. This was one of my favorite memories of Disney.

We are going to be eating here for the first time next month, so we are really looking forward to it. Loved your post AlexandNessa, sounds like you had a very magical birthday.
