Portobello Yacht Club - Recent Review

[Hopefully]

Has anyone had dinner recently at the Portobello Yacht Club? We are considereing dinner here on an evening that we plan to go to PI on our trip in November. The review in the Unofficial Guide is discouraging, and I haven't seen other recent reviews. If you would not eat here - where would you eat? We want to have a PS, rather than just wait. Thanks in Advance!

We have had excellent meals (both food and service) at PYC. I think they have the best rack of lamb I've ever eaten. Try the portobello mushroom appetizer. We were there most recently in June.

(Side note: does the Unofficial Guide like any restaurant?)

For goodness sake--don't rely on the UG for any restaurant recommendations. Better (as you are doing) to review things on these boards, then make a decision!!

Yes, the Unofficial Guide likes several restaurants at WDW. Boma, the California Grill, Shula's, the Cape May Cafe, Restaurant Akershus, Restaurant Marrakesh and Citricos come immediately to mind.

We just ate there this past July and loved it. My husband had the mushroom ravioli and I had the shrimp fettucine. The food was fantastic. It's definitely one of the places we will return to!

Don't go by the Unofficial Guide- it seems to go out of its way to dislike things.
