AirTran has announced a daily direct flight in each direction between MCO and PWM. These flights started November 7th. The AirTran fares start at 99$ each way for a total of $227 with taxes and surcharges. Flights leave PWM daily at around 2pm and the flight from MCO leaves around 10am.

Also, JetBlue has announced daily directs between the same two airports starting in Jan 2008. The JB flights depart PWM daily at 2pm and the return from MCO departs daily at 12:25pm

Good news for those in eastern Canada who fly out of Portland.
