Portland Maine JetPort...

This is our first time, and with such a long drive and a super early flight we are staying at HoJo's with a park and fly. Under $100 US for the parking and 1 nights stay.
Hopefully someone here can help you with the parking though.

We just got back from Portland and we stayed at Hojo's and used the park and fly. If I were you I recommend calling Hojo's and telling them to put you on the 4 am shuttle. When we arrived at the hotel someone was already booked for the 430 shuttle and they wanted us to leave at 5. Our flight left at 639 so I didnt feel comfortable doing this as I wasn't familiar with the Portland airport. The shuttle leaves the hotel every 30 minutes. Just a suggestion as there were 4 other families using the shuttle the same day as us. I wouldn't want you to miss out on the time you needed to be there.

Honeystar, the AirTran counter opens at 4:30, so I imagine you'll be stuck on whatever shuttle your hotel gets you on. Reserve ahead to get the better times! I imagine that something will open at the JetPort before you leave, but I'd stop at Hanniford's supermarket the night before so you and the little ones have something to eat and you have at least some juice (coffee you can get at the airport).

Thanks for the time! That's good news! I thought the airport shuttles would just be a mini van or a little bus that the hotel themselves operate... I suppose I will find this out when we check in.
Definitely, I will grab some things for the kids the night before just to be safe.

I am at Howard Johnson's (Portland) as we speak. The hotel is nice. We arrived to a free upgrade! We checked in and reception said we were chosen as winners for a free upgrade. This room goes for $275 nightly or that is what it says on the door.

We had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker. We had bottled water and packages of crackers too. This is a big double room with a patio.

I was asked what time I wanted a shuttle and what time I wanted a wakeup call. Shuttle is accessible...

At checkin they also give you coupons for adjoinin restaurants : friendlys and Verrillo's both with 15% off. We ate at Friendly and it was good and reasonable priced.

Watch your speed. I got caught going 7 over the speed limit. Luckily, I just got a warning! There are state troopers all over the place.

I filled my car for $19!!!! Imagine that!!!!! I have a medium size sedan...

Flights were $169.00 plus tax round trip. $25 for gas from Fredericton and $75 for the hotel with free park and fly. Pretty good deal, well worth the drive...
Off to my cruise tomorrow morning. 6am flight.
