How are the portion size @ 50's Primetime? Are they big enough to share?

Is something like Old-Fashioned Pot Roast big enough to share? What's good for sharing? Do they allow sharing?

I had the pot roast and it was a good size serving. I think that if you had some appetizers, you can definetly share. The chicken pot pie is a huge portion. Im sure they allow sharing. HTH. I really enjoy the Prime time cafe.

We ate there the end of January...had the pot pie and fried chicken and I couldn't eat all of the fried chicken!! DH managed to polish both of them off and a milkshake though!

I think the portions are huge!

Huge portions, as I remember. That way they get to hassle you about not finishing your plate. I like this place, too.

LeeAnn,
This is one of our favorite places to share because the portions are good size and their appetizers and desserts are to die for so you'll eat so much you'll be glad you shared. I highly recommend their fried herb cheese appetizer. Wonderful! I ordered the pot roast all to myself last year and it was way too much after scarfing down that appetizer. I didn't eat half of it. I got a pb&j shake for dessert in a to-go cup and drank it outside while watching the parade. :cloud9: This year I'm trying the smores...

Leigh Anne (also!)

The 50's Prime Time does not get enough credit for large portions and really good food. I always have the salmon and my DS always has the fried chicken. Really good and filling. A nice place to eat and watch the "show".

You can always share. Just tell the server that's what you want to do. Most of the times, they will split it before it even gets to the table.

3princesses4us,

You recomemend the fried herb cheese appetizer. Do you remember what kind of cheese it was? I'm pregnant and there are certain types of cheese I can't have.

Thanks.

Can you just watch the interaction, I am not to sure if I could take being told off like a child (must be the english in me :rotfl2: )

They also called it fried boursin cheese. Is that a cheese name? I'm not familiar with the word bousin, but it sure was good... It looks like a cheese ball, but inside is the warmest gooeyist (is that a word?) cheese. It comes with toasted french bread and grapes. If someone knows differently, please jump in.

I think the portions are really big! I had the fried chicken both times we've gone, one time I got 3 pieces of chicken and the other time I got 4, enough mashed potatoes for me and my 2 ds' to share, and green beans. DH had the meatloaf and it was a large portion too. The fried chicken is really, really good.

If I remember right, the first time my sons shared the kids' pot roast and I thought it looked like too much for me. Should be plenty of food to share, then have the s'more for dessert! The 4 of us split that and had some leftover too....

Boursin is pasteurized so it should be OK. It's a brand of really mild semi-soft cheese with herbs in it. You can get it in the deli sections of a lot of grocery stores.
