Portafino Pools

I happened to notice that at one of the Pools at the Portafino you could rent a private cabana for the day with such amenities as a refridgerator and TV. If anyone has rented one of these cabanas id be interested in Hearing your feedback to determine if its worth the cost or if im just better off laying on a pool chair for the day.

Welcome to the Dis. I haven't rented one but have seen people that have. The cabanas are at the Villa pool which is a little more formal and adult than the Beach Pool. I would say that they aren't worth it unlees you are without kids and just need to relax.

We rented one at the Villa pool once and it was nice and quiet. We prefer the HRH's cabanas. The Villa pool is plain but does have a hot tub and a plunge pool. The water is deeper but no slides or much activity at all.

Last June my son and I were playing dodge ball with the bocce balls and noticed a 10 year old boy getting a massage in the nearest cabana. Was that your boy, Jess?

I rented one for my husband last year as a Father's Day gift. We really enjoyed it but to make it worth it, pick a day where you will spend most of your time by the pool. You can get it deluxe(with tv, beverages, and fruit dish) or standard. Call the hotel and ask for the pool area, book with them diectly. All are the same and location isn't a concern. Be advised this is by the villa pool where chairs in the shade seem to always be availbable. If you have kids they will want to be by the beach pool-music, slide, games,pool bar/food and dive-in movie on Saturady night. Have fun!
