DS4 still likes to go #2 on a potty seat that fits over a regular seat. I'd rather not take the Blue's Clues potty seat in a Walmart bag (like I usually do on car trips) on the airplane. Any such thing as a portable/foldable one?

I bought ours at Babies R Us. It folds up to about the size of a few diapers, and has a plastic carry bag.

I had one and the one i had continually pinched the bottoms, after the 3rd time i threw it out! (i should have done it way sooner!)

After trying nearly EVERY travel potty seat on the market, I feared DD2 and I were trapped in the house. Finally I found the Potette Plus. It looks strange, but it sits VERY sturdily on any toilet and comes with a carrying bag. It also can be used as a stand alone potty about the size of the Baby Bjorn Little Potty. It's about $15 at BRU. The travel ones that fold into thirds and fourths I found pinched, but worse than that, they sagged tremendously under DD's weight. (She was only 22 pounds at the time!) She was never comfortable enough to actually go while using the fold up one. I read the reviews, but thought she would be light enough it wouldn't matter. I was wrong and should have listend....

Just to give you an option, we realized quickly that DD didn't care if we had the portable seat thing to go on the potty or not... she'd go either way. She started this pretty young (15/16 months), and we realized one day when we forgot the portable one that we could just help hold her (usually we just hold her hands if she needs it, but now she often doesn't) at the front of the toilet and she's fine. We weren't at this stage the last time we were on an airplane, but I assume it would work the same? Anyway, the one we have from BRU now just sits in it's bag in the basement and all we carry with us is an extra change of clothes. :)

Was it the Graco one? We had the Graco one and I found the same thing happened. I just felt it was easier to hold the little ones on the potty while on vacation and out and about.

I also found that the plastic foldable ones pinched. The cushie foldable seat from One Step Ahead (the first link in the PP) is very nice and NO pinching!

My daughter uses the cushie one at home and when we go out.

When my son was little, the folding seat covers didn't work at all...

Maybe because of the height, or the angle, or the way the seat sat on the public toilets, but I swear the kid would end up peeing right out the front of it and get himself (and sometimes me) soak and wet. Just not worth it.

I found it much easier to wipe everything down with a baby wipe, sit him on the regular seat and kind of hold him up with one hand so he had a free hand to...ummmm...hold things down and make sure everything was pointing the right direction. (Potty training boys is soooo much fun!:headache: )
