When we go to WDW, girls will be aged 4 and 1.5. The 4 year old at the time will be potty trained for about a year, but its a 20 hour drive, and we'd like to bring something along just in case. Is there something out there, more than just a regular potty chair, that we could bring along for her? Thanks!

We travel in a van and have always brought along a Safety First potty seat which has a lid for DD4 who has been trained since she was 2. We use gallon size freezer ziploc bags to line the inner potty bowl. This has always worked great for us. I pack a handful of Target bags and just zip up the ziploc bag and put it inside the Target bag for easy discrete disposal at a gas station, rest stop, etc.

We did the same thing a princess glenda, ziplocks and all!

Just look for a small, comfortable looking potty chair and you will be fine. IMHO you really don't need a "travel" potty as they are about the same size as a regular one.

We travelled a lot when I was a kid and my parents never owned a potty chair. they did have a 10-lb coffe can and some plastic bags, and those worked pretty well. You'd have to try them before the trip so your child could work it out, but it's cheap & disposable, if need be.

I bought the Inflate a Potty from One Step Ahead. We were traveling 32 hours each way and my Dd was only potty trained for 2 months. It worked out well because it didnt take up any room and I didn't even have to use it, but it was there just in case.

I took an 18 hour road trip with two 4 year olds and a 1.5 year old last year to wdw, we never needed any sort of travel potty for the 4 year olds, they were good at letting us know when to stop by that age, but each child is different.

I do what others mention above but I add a few sheets of paper towels to the bag that is going to be peed in --- as I have used plastic grocery bags and they often have holes in them!! Also, wal-mart makes awesome wipes - Equate brand - the flushable ones. I like these for potty trained kids as opposed to baby wipes.

Thanks for all the advice! Since we already have the potty chair w/the lid, maybe we'll just invest in baggies and paper towels, etc. as we most likely won't need it anyway. Great ideas, thanks.
