Are electronics being allowed on planes? Specifically, I wanted to bring a portable DVD player so my girls could watch one of their favorite princess movies. :confused3

Yes, they are allowed. (I am assuming this is domestic US flight. if not check with your local authorities)

Have a good trip.

Yes, they are allowed, but please be kind to your fellow travellers and include earphones with the DVD player. Once we were stuck on a long flight where the kid in front of us watched "Annie" at least twice with the volume turned way up the entire time. I wanted to kick Annie right to "Tomorrow" and back again by the end of that trip. :rotfl2:

At first I was a little nervous when this last terror incident happened because there was talk about nothing electronic/battery operated being allowed on the plane. It looks like that was just talk and only the liquids are a factor. We always bring our DVD player and hoping things won't change.

You are much nicer then most travelers. I would have requested the FA have the family turn off the DVD player. Generally the FAs do that automatically.

Thank you for the responses! Yes, we most definitely use earphones. :thumbsup2

Can't wait!
