I just got off the phone with DW and the only available moderate rooms available for November are at PO or CB. I would love some feedback from you disney fans as to which would be a better choice. I am traveling with my family of four, kids are 7 and 6. Please help! I want to book asap! Thanks! :sunny:

If the PO is Riverside I don't think other than the theme there is much difference. They both have a main pool with a slide, quiet pools throughout the property. You can rent boats, bikes at both. Food courts are pretty much the same size and each has sitdown restaurant. PORS you can take a boat to DD. Look at some pictures see which appeals to you most.
If the PO is French Quarter there are differences. No quiet pools, no sit down restaurant. FQ is much smaller than the other two.

i like riverside better... (as you can tell from my sig)

carribean beach is very nice, and love the theme... it is just that the building with the gift shops/pool/food court are far from some of the buildings, and are not attached to the check in area, like at other resorts.

plus i love the fact that riverside has a ferry boat that can take you from the resort to downtown disney. it is great. other things to do there are: bike rentals, boat rentals, catch and throw fishing, horse drawn carriage rides, etc.

good luck!

We prefered CBR over POR or FQ. As a matter of fact POR is our least favorite moderate. Stayed at POR and FQ a couple of times each and never had good bus service, didn't care for the food court (slow service and didn't care for most a selections), mousekeeping was just okay, and sinks only had tiny shelf to put stuff on.

One the other hand, CBR was great from the mousekeeping (many towel animals daily), enjoyed the food court and received great service, room had more storage space then any other moderate. (Counter space under sinks and room for suitcases under beds) Location was close to MGM and Epcot our two favorite parks.

We stayed at CBR, I didn't LOVE it... but I didn't HATE Is either... I'd love to try the POFQ though...

I think I am equally confused with positive feedback from both PO and CBR. I think I am going to go with POR since it does have the ferry boat to DD and also to try and get something close to the main pool. Thanks for your feedback, it was helpful. 5 more months!

I vote POR, as you can see from my star rating below.

Boat to DTD a real plus, you can also go over to POFQ as they share, the main pool is a good size with a large hot tub and the kids will love the curving slide. Very relaxed southern charm theme with great landscaping .... wonderful way to unwind from the parks. While both are large resorts, the POR's footprint is much smaller and tighter built around a "river" vs a large lake. With the theme pool being on an island in the middle, we didn't think any room was that far out.

Havent stayed at POR because we dont care for the theming of the PO resorts but we enjoyed CBR and would recommend it!! We love the tropical theme, laying in a hammock on the beach. I prefer the location of CBR to PO. Its more centrally located on property. :sunny:

We have stayed at both and we much prefer CBR. We did not like POR's bus service at all or the food court. The boat ride to Downtown Disney was the one thing we really liked about POR. The themeing was OK.

But at CBR we love the tropical themeing, sandy beaches with hammocks, and the friendly ducks. We like the rooms and the two double sinks with all the storage. We like the variety at the food court and we have always had good bus service. We like the main pool and the quiet pools in each of the villages. We like staying in Jamaica and walking over the bridge to the main pool and the food court. We leave on June 22nd for 8 nights - staying at our favorite resort - CBR. :cool1:

Good luck with your choice.

I haven't stayed anywhere but POR so I can't compare but my family LOVES POR. I agree with the great things the previous posters have mentioned about POR, in addition Bob Jackson the piano man in the River Roost Lounge is fantastic fun for the whole family. My kids thought it was so cool that we could choose either of the great pools at POR or POFQ...legal pool hopping, can't beat that ;)

I would choose PO over CBR. I do not stay at high rise hotels, they are more noisier, less quaint. I loved PO.
