hi just had a look on the resort area on the DIS.

just wondering is there a shower above the bath and is there a safe in the bedroom like what it is in pop century.

thanks les & bev

If no-one posts the answers Andre runs this site, I read it a lot when we considered staying there but got a better rate at Animal Kingdom Lodge so we changed. http://www.portorleans.org/ I am sure you can find out there, I just had a quick look at pics I saw a shower over the bath, I am sure all Disney hotels have these.

Assuming its the same or similar to POFQ there is a shower above the bath. All Disney rooms have a safe as standard. :goodvibes

:cloud9:There are 2 sinks outside the bathroom separated from the bedroom by a curtain. In this area there is a clothes rail with shelf above it and a small safe. In the bathroom there is a shower above the bath and the loo.
We stayed here Aug last year in one of the Magnolia buildings so any other questions just shout :thumbsup2

To avoid any confusion, Disney is not in the habit of placing a shower above the loo. ;)

I know what you meant Clare, but couldn't resist that one. :goodvibes

POR was our first visit to WDW and we realy enjoyed the resort, peaceful with lovely landscaping

The safe in the room we had at French Quarter was small so don't plan on putting tons of items in it. We just managed to fit out credit card passports and cash and our "Netbook" in there and it was full. All the camera and mobile phone chargers etcetera had to go in drawers BUT front desk may be able to help you out with any larger items it's worth enquiring about.

FYI for those of you travelling with infants...You can also get babies bottles sterilised if you ask at the front desk too I think Riverside and FQ both do this for guests via one of the "shops" in the food court. They keep everything separate from the food preparation and they are very clean and organised. Well done Disney for providing this for families with little ones:thumbsup2

We'll be at POFQ in October - so looking forward to it!

You'll love it, totally relaxing even when the pool was busy it was still pleasant and romantic. Even when the food court was busy we still managed to get a table and you can take your meal to a poolside table if you prefer.
Staff are friendly and the resort is beautiful. The boats to DTD are great, if a little noisy, and make a nice alternative to the buses.

i like to thank you all for the information.

i have just one more question .
if we have a few credits left from are meals that we not used.
i been told you can use 3 credit to get a sit down meal.
wear would you go to ? as i never had a meal in a sit down restaurant at disney before lol been 5 times and always quick service.

les and bev :santa:

Never heard of turning in 3 QS credits for a TS. Been asked lots on here but I believe its not possible.

i checked with disney and youre right but we could only hope.

Hi Les

Are you on the QSDP? There is no way to trade QS for TS. Even those trying to change TS to get a CS meal have had little success, although occasionally during free dining it has been reported that they are more flexible on this.

What you can do is to go to your resort consierge/guest services desk and ask them if they can convert QS to snack credits (generally about 3 snacks per QS). Some CM's wont do it, others will. Some resort gift shops will also allow you to get a few snacks for a CS credit and people often get some sealed things they can take home with them. Places in the park are unlikely to do it though so a resort is your best bet. What I suggest is a few days before you leave, try and guess how many CS you will have left over and get it sorted then. There is nothing worse than spending your last day trying to find a CM willing to humour you with your request.

We are doing QSDP again but we always just pay OOP for some nice TS meals. Even if you just do one, it really is worth it. Don't forget to make your ADRs though.

I thought RS was a really nice hotel but it didn't feel like a Disney hotel, not like IF you compare Coronado Springs. the FQ looked alot more Disneyesque
