Anyone ever stay at Port Orleans Riverside Resort.

We just decided this week to go to disney for Easter week and everything was booked ...they had availability here..I was wondering what experience you have had there..

thanks

My family and I love it. It has a resort feel to it rather than just the name "resort". The marina area is beautiful and the grounds match. You're going to be very happy.:thumbsup2

My families favorite resort :thumbsup2 and we'll be there next month :dance3: The grounds are beautiful, the main pool is awesome (according to my kids) and there are 4 or 5 quiet pools around the resort that are very nice, the boat ride to DTD is really great. We love it here and cannot wait to be back. :goodvibes

POR is a beautiful resort. We seemed to "luck out" in receiving the last room out - it was a looonnnnggg walk to everything. That's our only complaint. It is very spread out.

We loved POR when we went 6 years ago and we're going back in 5 months. We were in the Magnolia Bend side and found it wonderful there. We were close to a bus stop and we didn't mind the walk. Only time it bothered me was the night dh and FIL popped out to get food and took forever.

Relaxing resort. It does not scream Disney, but still has some Disneyish elements.

The boat ride is great to downtown Disney and it is free. There is a horse and carriage ride that you can take for about $35 for up to 5 people. We LOVED that. Food court is good. Nice variety. The food court is under rehab now and will be open, I believe, in mid April to early May.

There is a small playground for kids. The quiet pools are nice. I understand the slide at the main pool is neat, but that pool was crowded, so we always used the quiet pools which only had another family or 2 in it when we were there.

We will be staying there again June 27-July7. Can't wait!

We stayed there last year and loved it. We were not in the hotel very much. I have 2 sons and we stayed at the parks majority of the time. We are booked for the same this year. :cool1:

TinkerKim, I see we will be at POR at the same time. We'll be there 18-24, DH, Me, DS14, DD11, and DD9. How old are your DSs? Maybe we'll run into each other. :goodvibes

We've stayed at POR several times before buying into DVC..And...now..in March we will stay at both POR and a DVC resort...POR is fantastic! We've stayed in both the bayou and the mansions. the mansions! Beautiful grounds, great pools, wonderful entertainment and nice restaurant / food court...I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Beautiful Landscaping. Riverboat ride to Downtown Disney. Lovely scenic morning walks, great pool. Rooms are very rustic which takes some getting used to though.

We stayed in the Manor rooms way back before we had children and loved it. Now we are a family of 5 and are going back to stay in the Bayou section. We can't wait. We really loved this resort over CBR, and we did love CBR (being our honeymoon resort). Enjoy!

Hi
we stayed there last August and had a great time. The resort is so beautiful and there is alot to do. I have 2 Teen DS's and they also loved it. The rooms were clean and mousekeeping did a great job.

My family and I love POR! We started staying there when it was still named Dixie Landings. The grounds are breathtaking, beautiful, lush landscaping.
The boat to downtown Disney is a nice plus. Also, you can walk over to POFQ if you care to check out other resorts.
