Port Orleans Riverside Room Request

I stayed here in the early 90's (when it was Dixie Landings and I still catch myself calling it that) and I wanted to know to know what you guys think about requesting staying at Magnolia Terrace. I stayed in Alligator Bayou the first few times around and wanted to stay in the mansion area this time around. Are they going to charge me preferred room prices for just requesting any mansion area room?

I'm not sure about the price increase. I stayed in MB last year. We loved it, but I have never stayed in AB so I can't compared about the two. I have pics from the room and area that we stayed in if you want me to send them to you. You can PM me with your e-mail and I will send them.

March of 06 we checked into POR and they had us in bldg 38 at AB, when I made the reservation I had requested MB. I told the CM that and she immediately moved us to Magnolia Terrace room. It was gorgeous and there was no additional charge, but we didn't have a view of the River, but we did have a lovely view of the courtyard and fountains. This time we are going back in Sept and want to try AB instead. But if that isn't possible, I wouldn't mind MB again. Good luck.

There should be no extra charge for MB vs AB. We stayed in MB and although the view wasn't anything to write home about, we were too busy to notice! Loved the peace and quiet and the landscaping on the MB side. Have a good time!
