Port Orleans Riverside Rehab - Status?

Hello,

Would anyone happen to know how much progress has been made with the POR rehab? I recall reading somewhere that all of the buildings were going to be rehab'ed this year, beginning with Magnolia Bend and then working through Alligator Bayou. Would anyone happen to know "where they are" with the rehab and when it's supposed to be completed? Thanks!

I've read that Magnolia Bend will be finished in the fall (one building to go). But I don't know about Alligator Bayou.

We have a reservation for the first week of Jan. Do we have to ask for a room at Magnolia Bend to be certain that we will get a rehab'ed room.

Is the rehab as extensive as the one done at POFQ ?

Rehab?! Oh dear, I didn't know about it...I'm SO out of it. We'll be at POR in the middle of October...does anyone know which room/building we should request? Also, anyone know the site where I can find out more info on the rehab?

I have reservations for October as well. Has anyone just returned from POR and can tell us how far along they are on Magnolia Bend?

we stayed at POR last month and as far as i know they were putting the finishing touches on the last building in the mansion section for re-hab. the CM's i talked to said nothing of any re-hab upcoming in the bayou section.

Thanks for your responses, Everyone! Please keep me posted, if you happen to see, hear, or read anything! We'll be back at POR next May and are hoping to stay in Alligator Bayou again - we're hoping that they will be finished with the rehab by then (assuming that it does affect Alligator Bayou, as well) and that we'll be able to stay where we did this year! I called POR yesterday.

Three of the mansions are already finished rehab. The last one, Parterre Place is suppose to be done around the end of Sept.

Sorry, I didn't ask about the bayou rooms since we aren't staying in one.

About 3 years ago there was a major roof rehab on the AB section of POR. Rehab on the roofs were in the finishing stages when POFQ was closed for rehab.

When I stayed at PORS last November, the boat captains would update us at to the refurbishments going on at POFQ and when asked about the updates for RS they stated that after FQ was done (this past spring) that the mansions would go down and then the AB sections would probably go after the mansions in groupings of about 3 buildings at a time but all of PO is to be rehabed.
