Anyone stayed here lately been able to check in early like really early around 10 am or so... I know it probably just depends on the day but just curious..

Well.... it never happened to me but just so you know you can always leave your lugagge at the front desk and enjoy the parks or even the resort!!!

We did this in October. We got there about noon. We weren't able to get in our room but we were able to get our keys and park tickets. Our room was finally ready for us around 3:30pm. I believe they say they have until 4pm to get you in your room. They give you a phone number to call to check to see if your room is ready.

I checked in once at 4am... Ended up in AB so I'm sure it was probably the only room that was ready.

Went last month and got there about 11AM. No dice on getting into the room early but as mentioned by a previous poster, we did get our room keys and headed out to the parks for the day. That was good.

we landed on december 18th and checked in at 10.30 am. both of the rooms we booked were ready and waiting for us. i got exactly what i wanted, first floor, outside a quiet pool. this time we are checking in at 10 pm, so I hope we get the same. I dont care which building or which part of por, but I do like first floor, quiet pool view.

We had gotten there in September around 12 noon and we also had to wait until 3 p.m. It really was no big deal, we checked our bags in about 5 mins and were off to do our thing

When we stayed at POR in January, we arrived at the resort around 11am, and were able to get checked into our room right away. We were in AB, building 14. It probably just depends on the day and time of year. I don't think they are as crowded in January as they would be in March or April, around spring break timeframe, or around Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Out of about 18 stays at PO-R, I can honestly say there were only 3 times that we had to wait until later in the afternoon for a room to be ready.
We normally arrive around 11:30am, there, I have probably jinxed myself for our upcoming trip, but that's OK. We just head to the food court for some lunch then either take a nice leasurely trip to DTD on the boat, or maybe catch a bus to either Magic Kingdom or EPCOT and ride the monorail no it doesn't take much to entertain us - before we check in.

You can also head to the pool - there are restrooms where you can change into your bathing suit - and kill a couple of hours by relaxing there before all the craziness begins.

Last December we arrived at 10:30 AM and our room was ready. The year before we arrived on the same date and our room wasn't ready until after 4 PM, so we left our luggage, got our keys and went out and had fun.

This is some great info. We're taking the auto train in just a handful of days and we'll be on property about 11am. Or so I hope. Our first stay at POR, so its good to know what to expect.

Only once did I have to wait until mid-afternoon and I have stayed here about 6 times. Generally was checking in around 10:30 or 11 after arriving from the auto train....

When I went recently we arrived at the resort at 10:30,checked in to get our keys to the world but our room wasn't ready yet.They gave us a number to call to check on the room.We looked through the gift shop for about 15 minutes and then clled the number thinking it was waaay to early but wanted to try anyway and it was ready.We were in our room by 11:00.
