There are places at DTD where you can charge to the room.

You get to the resort and do the checkin process. If the room isn't ready you'll still get your KTTW, etc (just not the room number), and you can proceed to charge to the room account.

Thank you, Bumbershoot! How or where do I go to find a list of places that we can charge at?

Where did u find it? I only get the rides- no parades and no meals such as this.

I was able to book using the reservation number on our Yellow Magical Express luggage tags (it would not work with our MDE reservation which is a combo of numbers and letters). It is so cool - you can even pick what you would like to order!!! I am going to bring a print out of the BOG fast pass reservation - since it does not show up under my MDE. I can log back into this link any time to modify my reservation - even though there is no reservation number. There is a whole thread about this - if you search under BOG fast fass. What number did you call to get this fixed? MDE is showing double tickets for each person in my party.

Our reservation has two tickets per person as well. I am hoping one is if we decide to participate in Magic Bands and the other if we use the traditional KTTW....wishful thinking maybe??

Hi Its still says on My disney I have no tickets but the girl I spoke to said I did and confirmed I have a 5 day ticket. I called 407-939-5277.

I am going to call tonight when I get home to see how i can get my ticket linked to my disney!

Just to confirm, the first checkin date for guests to get Magic Bands at POR will be 3RD SEPTEMBER, not 2nd Sept.

Not related. But I just logged into my MDE and it says I still have two KTTW cards that are active mine and my little one's. Weird my wife's one is deactivated. They should all be deactivated lol.

We went the end of May and ours are still active also.

I was asked to hold back on posting this until today, but Magic Bands will be issued to all Port Orleans Riverside guests for stays commencing 3rd September onward.

Emails and letters will start going out today to inform guests arriving in 18 days that they can pre-book their FastPass+ times (up to 60 days out in fact) and customise their Magic Bands (colour and name) via the My Disney Experience site. It may not be possible for Disney to contact all guests (e.g. those who have booked via some travel agents) but the new system will still apply to everyone regardless.

Continental USA guests should be able to get their Magic Bands mailed out in advance, others will need to pick them up at the Front Desk when they check in. Key cards will still be issued as a backup for the foreseeable future.

While this is still officially classified as a "test", the general expectation is that unless there are major problems this will most likely remain permanent from now on.

French Quarter will follow within the next few months.

Andre - Any idea how this will affect early package / ticket pick-up. Due to our dates, we have a one day stay at POR followed immediately by a 5night stay w/ 7 day tickets (and free dining).

I had planned on early package pick-up, per Chesire's post in the ticket sticky, but now does this mean we are out of luck? Unfortunately, I really need part access on day 1, as 13 of us have Cinderella's table reservations at the MK.

Any thoughts?

I have a quick question about charging to the room...

Can we only charge to the room from the parks or can we also charge from DTD?
Also, we are planning to go to DTD on the day we check-in. If we can charge to the room do we have to wait until we actually have the room (can we do this even if the room isn't ready)?

You can use your KttW (or MagicBand) to charge purchases or food at DTD too, and as long as you're checked in it will work fine (you only need to know the room number for package delivery).

FP+ appears to require that your tickets are attached to the room reservation. If your tickets are already part of a room package I guess they should already be linked, but it they are separate you would need to link them in the MDX software first. Try it and see what happens!


Has anyone yet been able to customise their Magic Bands for a POR stay yet by the way? I see lots of people setting up their FP+, but no so many talking about being able to set up bands.

Hi - Checking into POR on Sept 7th (23 more days!) - can't customize Magic Band (yet??!!!). Just a teaser pop-up yesterday afternoon stating that my Magic Bands were available to customize - my daughter and I were dancing all around, until I actually clicked the link and it basically disappeared and left me on the main MDE page...Will post as soon as I am able to book them (you may hear us cheering!!)....

Also wanted to note Fast Pass + has added some options that were not available for us yesterday. Just signed in and noticed Pirates, Belle and few others are now options for FP+. Still waiting to see if Fireworks and/or Parade viewing become options.

We were part of the Fast Pass+ test grp last Sept which only had a couple of options - so excited to see all of the choices - and ability to customize the times - EXCELLENT!

I think we are going to try to switch from POFQ to Riverside so we can be part of the MB and FP+ testing. Am I crazy to do that? We have another group going with us and they are Pop so we are going to have to tour separately now if don't.

Oh man, I was SO excited reading today about the Magic Bands being rolled out at POR during my stay! This is our first family vacation ever, and it's becoming a dream vacation! Scoring FD, getting to book a Royal Room with it, getting all of the ADR's I wanted (except BOG), and now FP+ and Magic Bands?! I was so hoping we could try out the bands but thought it was a no-go for us!

I....CAN'T.....WAIT!!!!!! Yayyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!
