For a family of 5, would it be cheaper to stay at POR or to get 2 rooms at a value? I assume POR would be cheaper, but I wanted to make sure :) Can't price out my trip yet.

Well I believe one room at POR would be cheaper. You definitely would be in the AB area because of the 5.

Seems like that is what I have been fighting off lately also. Well maybe the lifting spirits of being at Disney World will help boost his immune system. Hope you all have a very magical visit with us!

Our pollen in SC has been really bad this year, so I'm sure that (combined with all the RAIN) is what has triggered it. I'm glad you're feeling better!
I'm sure we'll have a very magical visit! We're celebrating our 6th anniversary (we were married in WDW.) :) I ordered a surprise from Disney Florist. Does POR allow them to deliver to the rooms, or will they only deliver to the front desk there?

Can I join you guys? We check in tomorrow too!:cool1::banana::cloud9::woohoo::yay:

Can you tell I'm a tad excited?

Stephanie

Yes! YEAHOOO!!!!!!!! Say hi if you see us. We'll be the abnormally TALL people! ;)

They should let them deliver to you if you have checked in already. If you haven't checked in then you will have to pick it up at the front desk.

Yes, we are also 5. POR is the least expensive onsite accommodation for 5.:thumbsup2

We are driving in from Texas. Will it look strange if I bring in a pretty good sized cooler to our room? It's a nice Yeti I got for my birthday and I don't want to leave it in the car for 10 days! Does anyone ever bring a cooler?

We always bring a cooler when we drive. Usually filled with a case of beer and couple bottles of wine.:drinking1 Gotta use that refillable mug for something fun at the pool!

Not sure I saw the answer here, but do any of the Royal Rooms connect? That is a HUGE priority for us! Thanks for any advice you can give! :flower3:

Yup. Just remember, connecting rooms are just a request. There is no way to book connecting rooms. And that's a WDW thing not just POR.

Good deal! Thanks! I hope to get some cool Disney stickers for it while we are there!!!

Thank you! I scheduled it for delivery tomorrow so we'd be checked in already. So excited!!!

Same here (check in TOMORROW!) Do you know how long I've been waiting to say that!!! "See" you there :) :) :yay::yay::yay:

(Now, if only I could get my husband's sinus infection to go away before tomorrow )

WooHOO! now I can say it. We check in tomorrow!:cool1:

Hope your travel goes well! Hope check in is smooth and that there is pixie dust flying all around this week!

dansdad, is right. That is definitely a bring your own. The new TVs have the inputs for that or Laptops to plug in and display on the TV but no DVD in room. You don't get that til DVC or Deluxe.

*Some Moderates have added them in, example; some rooms at CSR now have them.

Do you know what kind of cord I need to hook my laptop to the T.V so that we can play movies?

I am sitting here talking to my friend Holly; we will arrive about 10:00 am next Saturday. This is a trip that is 2 years in the making. I cannot be happier to come "home".

HDMI, component, or composite.

Our flight arrives in Orlando at noon and we are taking the Magic Express to POR. We will probably grab a quick bite to eat at the food court and then are planning to head to Epcot. Do you think we can be in the park by 2:00-2:30?

If everything works in your favour (no waits at ME or checkin, quick to get to your room, no lines in the food court or waits for bus) then yes that could work, but in the real world you might find it takes a little longer.

I don't think 2:00 is realistic, especially with having lunch first. I would expect to get to your hotel no later than 1:30, but with eating, the wait for the bus, and then the travel time to Epcot, I wouldn't expect to be there any earlier than 2:30.
