WE ARE BOOKED!!! Cannot wait to walk into POR next March and feel like I am back home.:woohoo: I even requested the same room we had last year since we enjoyed being in Magnolia Terrace. Now we only have 217 days to wait, but it will fly by.......:lovestruc

hey I have a question for you POR experts.

I may be switching over to POR (from POFQ) and I'm thinking RR Pool View and requesting close to mainbuilding/bus. If I am looking at the map correctly this would put me in one of the two RR buildings facing the pool that sits inbetween and kind of straight up from the bridge over to the main building?

I'm trying to figure out the easiest place to put my mom (who is 70 and can have some mobility problems) who wants to try out the mansions area.

If there is a better choice please let me know.

ETA: Just playing with Google maps and it looks like Parterre is actually closer to the bridge, and I could get a garden view and request close to bridge first floor and it would be a better location. Or I could just do Parterre/Close to Elevator upper floor and not worry about the bridge since there is only one elevator and we would be using it the most.

we are booked too! Can't wait! It's been a rough year and we are looking forward to going "home" :thumbsup2

Hello everyone. We are planning to go back to POR December 2014 but we might go back in thanksgiving. Does POR do anything special to celebrate during this time?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Free Dining comes out for December, and that POR has rooms available for it! I'm bringing my 22 year old nephew to WDW and the last time he stayed at POR he was a little boy! It will be great to see if he remembers it at all.

Can anyone tell me if Pop Warner will be at POR this year? The dates I'm looking at (and have airline tickets for, lol) are Dec 12-16. If Pop Warner is at POR, do they place them in certain buildings?

Sounds like a plan, start a DIS POR pass-the-kettle-on thread!

Oh, and if you do decide to travel with a small kettle, it's worth remembering that they are hollow - pack small clothing items or souvenirs inside it (inside a plastic bag of course!) and it actually takes up very little space.

Way ahead of you my friend! We usually pack the tea in it and some granola bars plus the cord. Pretty sure it was filled with pin trades on the way home. We used to travel with a small toaster as well. DH and DS are ravenous when they wake, so familiar morning snacks are a must. Plus they are a serious time saver. I'm just struggling this time with hoping to only have carry-on for the trip to WDW. We definitely will have checked bags on the way home.

Yes I had a pin and I originally booked french quarter with free dining
But changed to a royal room

Quick question can your mugs be refilled at the pool bar?

Ok so Just got back today exhausted but great time. Our room had the fridge unplugged, however when I checked in she did not tell me. I was annoyed as I had GG delivery there and thought it should have been mentioned, I called down and first person said there arent any and none will become available. I asked why I was not told when I had asked about food getting brought up, he transferred me to a manager who then sent a fridge......This was all done calmly as I was on vacation and new it was possible not to have one. A few more things we used magical express landed at 430pm but luggage did not arrive until about 11pm (fridge around 1030). We were tired it may have been better to get our own luggage. Not sure of housekeeping schedule but we had 1 day they never came and another day they came around 4pm (and I tipped daily) ANd Finally the busses were full many times like 3 year old standing full we boarded west depot,And we did wait over 45 minutes at MK at 2pm??? not sure why but they did bring another right behind our very full one.

Food court was ok I never had the pasta as the line was long and the one time I did wait they lost all gas power so never had it. Boatwrights was one of my favorite restaurants and I wish I ate there twice.

We would deffinately stay again overall it was nice and most of my issues are just FYI not really overall a big deal.

Quick answer: No

It'd be nice if you could - maybe with the RFID mugs they might look into doing it? I'm guessing it would hit the bar takings quite a bit though.

We originally planned around work days, and, when looking at airfare, quickly realized we could save a ton of money for a family of 5. :)

We booked a Friday to a Friday in November. Airfare is a little higher than midweek but not much. For us we wanted to have two days at home before returning to work on Monday. Last time we went in 2011 I almost fell asleep in a meeting I was so tired returning to the realy world.

I recently heard a rumor that all refrigerators in the POR and the POFQ were recalled and that they are no longer have fridges in the rooms. Can anyone confirm is this is true??

We usually always order food from GG and have it delivered. staying in a royal guest room pool view in Sept, anyone know what my chances are of getting a refrigerator??

Are the towels out by the main pool early in the morning, like 6 or 7am? It looks like it "opens" at 7am. I know the quiet pools don't have towels so if we stay at POR I figured my husband can grab some towels on his morning jog. But if it is the sort of this that you have to ask for towels and no one is there, then that would be annoying.

We were there last week (building 27) and had a fridge. I don't know if it was a new one, but it was the coldest fridge we've ever had at a Disney resort. In the past, we've found the fridges to run a bit warm, so have been reluctant to keep anything that might spoil.
