I guess we were lucky last March as we made our carriage ride reservations when we checked in for that same night. Loved it. We chose the trip around POFQ & Lori our driver was amazing with all the info she tells.

We choose the ride to POFQ as well and it was so much fun. Our driver was Star and the horse was Sully. Star was awesome and those horses are magnificent and huge!

I guess it depends on when you go as to how booked the rides are. I had even tried to reschedule for the next night and nothing was available.

Good to hear some positive Carriage ride reports. My parents did it last year and were so disappointed. My father tried to engage the driver in conversation - about anything about the resort - and he was met with short, one word answers. Heck, he would've even taken conversation about anything that didn't pertain to the resort but the driver didn't want to talk, period. They were hoping to learn something about PO, but got nothing. The resort was beautiful, but he would have liked some commentary to go along with the ride. We had a similar experience when we did a carriage ride at Wilderness Lodge. Our driver wouldn't talk and we went at night along the path between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness which was pitch black - not a thing to see! My family just has bad luck with the carriage rides! LOL

We did the carriage ride in Sept.(our 25th anniversary) We booked for same day ride although a bit earlier that we had hoped but it was good. We had a very knowledgeable friendly driver. She took pictures of us in the carrage and posed her horse so we could take pictures

Thanks! I am trying to figure out if an adult can sleep in it. Do they have rollaways or can I bring a blowup bed?

Adults can sleep on it, but I reckon about 5'6" would really be the tallest you could expect still to be comfortable (as long as you don't want to sleep fully stretched out).

There are no trundle beds any more, but you can definitely take a blow-up bed if you wish, and the resort can provide linen & pillows.

We will be arriving to POR in November and will be using a ECV for the first time. We are booking preferred and will be in AB. Do they have ramps to the first floor as well as stairs? By the way we do not need a handicap room. Thank You!:)

Yes, there are ramps. We stayed in 27 (preferred) and used ramps with double stroller.

I just read on another thread 'the pool at POR was closed'. Truth? Fact? Which pool? We will be there 2/3-8 and that was part of the draw....

The pool at POFQ is currently closed until Feb. 28th.

We use inflatable mattresses at Riverside. We are a family of five and stay in Alligator Bayou. My 12 year old daughter sleeps in the Murphy bed, and my younger sons sleep on inflatable mattresses (twin sized mattresses).

How comfortable is the Murphy bed? My 6 year old son will be sleeping on it- should I worry he might fall off or is it bigger than it looks?

Here now, its beautiful! Our garden view is of a construction wall lol. We are in a rr oak manor not to far to walk to main building at all

Hope all is going great!! :thumbsup2 We have a Pool View Royal Room for Oak Manor from Feb. 13th through 23rd. I don't want to look at construction :eek:How will that view be? How is the construction...is it extensive? Thank you so much in advance for your response!! Have a GREAT trip! :)

Construction is being limited to one wing at a time, so it could all be different in a month's time.

How extensive is this construction. For what I'm paying for a pool view Royal Room, it would not be good for Disney for me to show up to scaffolding blocking my view or stairwell. :badpc:
