If everyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated. I am heading to Riverside in 119 days and I am trying to prepare my list of food to try. We like to eat breakfast at the resort and take a lunch time break so we eat lunch at the resort alot too.

Please send me any and all pictures of your Riverside food!! Thanks!

We stayed there in 2010 and LOVED the food court. Lots of healthier options with the huge salads (made to order - decent protein options) and made to order pasta bar.

I did not take pics of our food, but here is a link (if this is allowed to post...apologies in advance mods/regulars if it isn't :guilty:) to a sample of booths and food options at Riverside Mill. http://allears.net/acc/g_porm.htm

I loved its proximity to the main pool too - easy to walk the bridge and grab an outdoor table with 1 tray of food while dh rounded up the lunch party.

For breakfast we enjoyed the egg, bacon and cheddar sandwich on a full-size croissant. We split it in two, and felt it was plenty, along with some milk or juice.

For lunch, I loved the Roast Beef and Bleu Cheese on Ciabatta bread. The Muffaleta sandwich was good, too. My DD26 loved the Create Your Own Pasta, and it was too much for her to finish.

If you're looking for something smaller, the kid's Turkey Pinwheel Sandwich comes with small milk, small water, or apple juice, and grapes or applesauce.

Remember to try POFQ's Food Court. The Beignets are not to be missed. Take the park bus to POFQ for lunch, then walk or boat to POR. It's a short, shady walk.

Here's menus

For lunch we like the make it yourself (i.e., you get to select the toppings) pasta and salad bars.

Thanks!! I was wondering about the salad and pasta. Do you just tell them what you want on it like subway?

We loved POFQ when we stayed there and I am sure I will make the trip for beignets. I was hoping POR is as good!!

Those look great!! I can't wait!!!

I don't have pictures, but be sure to try the build your own pasta! It is easily enough for 2 people and I am a "big eater."

We were there the beginning of May and decided to do dinner one night at the POR food court.

My daughter's chicken nuggets and fries:

I guess you can't go wrong with nuggets! She liked them.

Build Your Own Pasta (Penne, Alfredo, Half Chicken/Half Shrimp, Parmesan) with a slice of garlic bread:

This was a MASSIVE amount of food, even for someone who LOVES to eat pasta! I ended up eating all of the protien, but only about half of the pasta - it must have weighed two pounds! I would order it again in a heartbeat, but with all shrimp, the chicken was precooked, so it was reminiscent of 'leftovers' to me. Also, the garlic bread was extremely toasted, so it was hard to eat - I don't think I finished all of it.

Chef's Carving Board Selection (Beef/Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Corn, Cornbread):

Hubby got this on a whim when he saw it from the sandwich line. Of the two, I liked the turkey better than the roast beef, but both were fabulous! The cornbread tasted just like Whispering Canyon Cafe's cornbread, so that made me happy! This was about $10,I think.

We were very happy with our dinner at the POR food court (and with POR in general). If/when we stay here again, we plan on dinner one night at the food court.

(I apologize for the size, I don't know how to resize them from my blog!)

This looks like better food chices than the CB resort. I am tempted to change our reservation to POR. I really like the choice of a pasta and salads made to order.

You're welcome! Hubby was practically licking the plate clean, so I am pretty sure he LOVED it!

YES, MUCH better choices than CBR. I adore everything about CBR--except the food options.
