I did a fake booking on Disney website, and for 7 nights and 8 days, Aug 28 thru Sept 4, 2 adults, 2 children, standard room, airline and passes included. At the price of $2,889.08. The tickets are basic 7 days without exp. Travel insurance is included. I was wondering if that was a good price. This will be our 1 time there, and I wanted to see if anyone out there stayed here before, and could give us some insight. I will be traveling with my husband, two daughter's ages 6 and 4, and our son who will be 1.

Thank You!

You may be able to come out with a better price by doing everything separately. I would try it that way and make your judgement call from there.

Can you break down the pricing separately so you can see how much you would pay for tickets, passes and airfare? If that includes airfare, depending on where you are flying from, that doesn't sound too bad. I know that when I priced our hotel and passes online (with no discount), I received a quote of about $1900 for 7 nights in a moderate resort and with 7-day park hopper passes for two adults and one child and NO airfare. So that means you are paying $900 more for airfare for four people and travel insurance. Not that bad, if you are flying in from quite a distance.

I did find tickets separate at www.discountorlandovacation.com for 1,160.00 shipping is free. The tickets are for 10 days no exper. 2 adults and 2 children.
I didn't get them yet because mousesaver.com is coming out with a newsletter with codes on it. So, I'll compare the two and decide. All of you look to be right that it might be cheaper to do everything separate.

Thanks for the Advice!

I dont find that to be very high at all. Figure ala carte, the room could run $1000, plus passes at 1200, that leaves 600 for 4 airline tix. Sounds pretty reasonable to me.

Im sure it was a fluke, but POR is one of only 2 places weve had bad service at wdw.

We went last May to POR and our rooms was $88 a night from just talking to the people. That does sound a little high because when I was younger the four of us stayed at Poly for around $2,500 for the total vacation

I just reserved, using AP, two nights at POR for April. It was $105/night + tax.

$815 for 7 nights at POR
$770 for 2 adult, 1 child 7 day tickets, no expire
$358 for 1 child AP(so you can get the AP room rate)

$1943 total

Thus airfaire & travel insurance is running approx. $946 for 4 people or $236.50 per person.

I'm not sure where you are flying from, but your pricing seems reasonable, and you don't have to worry about getting an AP rate.
