Just checked in. We are in the Acadia houses. ME went yacht club. Beach club boardwalk Saratoga then POR. Took 3 hours from getting off the plane. I am beat

Was it last night? after 10? They put fewer busses on at night to conserve gas, employee hours, and they tend to cover more resorts than they normally do during the day hours.

Yes it was. Plane landed at 11:12. We sat on the bus until12:30. Check in told me no one received my fax. No one ever put down my request on my reservation. So the walk seemed forever. CM said sorry can't do anything at 2 am! I was so tired I didn't care. Once I got to the room. I cared lol

I am so ready to return home to POR......November 2013 cannot get here fast enough!! It is only.....forever and ever days away (LOL).
Will try to keep trip a secret from DS's...we were successful this past March.

We are going in November 2013 too! I just booked and made a deposit for a Royal Room today. We are going during my daughter's birthday week. Even though she will be turning 27 she is a little kid at Disney and loves all things pertaining to it. She doesn't know about me booking the RR and I hope to surprise her when we get to the rooms.

We are in Oak and it looks like they finished installing the RFID locks in our building today....I can confirm that the Royal Room locks look exactly like the photo on Andre's website, with the Mickey logo. Same as the regular rooms.

We just got home a little bit ago after a week at POR. We stayed in a RR in Parterre Place. I didn't pay for a view, which worked out fine...when we were in the room, we generally had the blinds pulled (because we were in the room either for the kids to nap or we were going to bed), so to pay for a view would have been a waste. I sent a fax requesting connecting rooms with my inlaws and to be near an elevator or on a ground floor. We were fairly convenient to an elevator (room 9705), and did have connecting rooms, which was great! The resort was beautiful and we were all very happy with the room. We only ate at the resort once, and that was in the food court one night. The food was fine; nothing spectacular. Even though we were there for a full week, we were pretty busy with the parks, so we didn't have a chance to take full advantage of all the resort had to offer. We went to the pool one afternoon and the playground. We intended to catch one of the courtyard movies, but we either seemed to be out during that time, or if we were at the resort, we were getting ready to go to bed! All and all, it was a fantastic trip, but we're glad to be home - in our own beds tonight, even though, I must stay, the beds in our RR were quite comfy! Thanks to everyone on this thread that answers questions, etc., and especially to Andre for all of his work! I wouldn't have been nearly as informed without the PO website or this thread.

I just got back from my first stay at POR. The ME bus stops for last Sunday (10/21) were YC, BC, BW, and POR. I was surprised when POR was the first stop as I assumed the deluxe resorts would be first. I'll write a brief trip report in the next day or so.
