Port Orleans or Caribbean?

Just wondering which resort we should pick.. we will be going over the holidays and I have already booked at port but wondering if we should change,, we Have kids that are 4 and 14.. which one do you would you suggest? Thanks.. Sarah

Port Orleans French Quarter! Amazing looking resort that is MUCH MUCH MUCH smaller then ALL the other moderates! In no way does this mean it's crowded, just that the walking distances are minimal. Plus you can always walk to PO Riverside to eat there or enjoy their activities too!

It really comes down to personal preference. I love CBR, we stay there all the time, and have no complaints. I just like the themeing better than the other moderates.

We haven't been to POR, but we were at CBR this April and my DS14 and DS11 loved it. In fact, they say THAT is where we have to stay next time we are there. They loved the beach and the hammocks especially! Either way, I don't think you can lose -- you'll be at WDW!!

Our last 2 trips were at those 2 resorts. Personally, I liked CBR better. Our room seemed bigger (not sure it was but it seemed it for some reason) and the look/feel was just more my style (I'm a beach girl, LOL). We were right on the beach in the building closest to Port Royale. I definately would not have been happy if we were far from the main building. The buses were crowded though, too many bus stops! But the buses ran so quickly it wasn't really an issue for us.

POFQ was great though, my kids (2 & 5) LOVED the pool!!!!! The food court was good, we ate there a lot more often than we did while at CBR. It is a much smaller resort, but like the previous poster said it never felt crowded.

In typing this I'm actually having a hard time deciding which I prefer. LOL!!!

I stayed at CBR in 2001. It was my first time staying at a disney resort... I LOVE disney.. it's a moderate so I was SO excited to stay in this nice resort and I LOVE island themes so I figured it would be PERFECT! The pool was awful. the rooms were mediocre. the service was "ok". The foodcourt was not good. The game room (not that we planned to spend time there) was a joke (at the time). The theming was "ok"... there was one REALLY nice CM at the gift shop. I'd never stay there again.
I'm going to POFQ in 2 days and have heard WONDERFUL things about it!
Some people LOVE CBR I just didn't like the "feel" there at all...

Our favorite is CBR. We have stayed at POR also but love CBR. On Christmas eve they have music outside, Santa Claus makes a visit. You can decorate cookies.

I have stayed at CBR and POR, but not at either recently. Personally, I much preferred CBR but both were good experiences. I just liked the look of CBR better and found the whole experience there more memorable.
