 Yes

I've just booked my holiday for next year (British Airways Holidays) to Port Orleans French Quarter. However, because this is so popular, its already booked up (the brochure only came out yesterday!) and they've put me on "request". They will be ringing me on Monday to say whether they could get a room or not. If not, they've reserved a room in "Riverside". As Riverside is not my first choice, could anybody tell me if it is OK? If not I can still book through Virgin on Monday and get the French Quarter.

This holiday worked out £10 more expensive than Virgin (including 10% frequent flyer discount) but does include a free one way upgrade on the flight (£450 for the 3 of us).

Riverside is okay! I have had two weeks there followed by three weeks a year later and am due for another two weeks in July this year.Probably more spread out than Port Orleans but it is a short walk or boat trip between the two.
Nice buildings with lawns between and a nice walk over a wooden bridge to the main building for food and reception area.I've booked through Virgin on all trips asking for Riverside and Dixie Landings before the alleged political name change. :bounce:

Riverside is lovely - the mansions are particularly attractive. IMHO!! Wherever you end up at this resort you should be happy. :)

....Many thanks for the replies. It looks like we'll be alright at whichever Port Orleans we end up booking.

...just got to wait a year now :rockband:

Hi Richard, I had just replied to your British Airways Post, asking whether you had gone through BA or BA holidays for your booking, Now I know the answer.
Regarding PO or POR, I have to say we prefer POR as it is more spread out, incredibly beautiful, has a sit down restaurant as well as the food court and several pools so there is always somewhere quiet if you want it. :sunny:

I don't think you will be disappointed with this lovely resort. :Pinkbounc

Hi Julie,

Just replied to you on the "other" post. It looks if whichever side of PO we end up in we'll be very happy.

Many thanks for the info. :jumping2:
