Port Orleans French Quarter -- EXCELLENT!!!

I'm glad you enjoyed the resort. Thank you so much for posting your pictures. I just booked a package yesterday for next year and I'm so excited. I had a couple of questions.

Were you in a standard room or a water view room? Were the pool and hot tubs crowded during the day or were they alright as far as crowds?

We love POFQ. We were there last month and booked the bounce back program for next August.

What's the "bounce back program"??

Wow, we will be the crazy goofy family with the 6'3" teenager and the short 8 year old in pink crocs, the DH will be wearing lots of UNR (University of Nevada) Wolfpack shirts. My kids will also swim in any kind of weather so most nights will find us near the pool.

My wife and I were booked at the POFQ a few years ago (2003) when they were closing down parts of the resort for remodeling. I had done lots of research and had decided that POFQ was the place for us, as we were nearing 60 at the time. We got upgraded to the WL and missed out on the POFQ experience. If we should make a return trip I would really like to try again for the POFQ.

The WL was very nice to say the least, but I do believe that we would have been better off at the POFQ.

Just looking at the pictures makes me so HOMESICK!! We just POFQ! This is where we have been staying each year since 2000. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else. Now that I have said that, our DD and her young family will be with us and so they will not be able to afford it with 3 kids and a baby! We are supposed to be staying at the All Stars (them in a suite and us in another room) but having looked at your pictures, I am thinking about letting them stay at the All Stars and us going back to our favorite POFQ!!!!!

I was in a standard room, building #: 5, room #: 5202. It was a great room and close to everything. As I'm only in the room to sleep or take a break during the day, I don't bother paying for a view I won't see that much.

The pool was not that bad during the day. The hot tub did get crowded at times and I found alot of little kids (5 and under) in the hot tub using it as a kiddie pool. That got a little annoying at times.

I have been tempted to try POFQ many times, but I can't get DW to switch from POR. We have walked around and tried the food court. Looks and sounds like a great place. If we couldn't get POR, we would certainly be at POFQ.
