port orleans, cbr, or???

O.K. Disney dwellers:

I'm looking for input as to whether CBR or Port Orleans would be a better choice logistically.

I have stayed at Dixie Landings twice, but have received a lot of positive feedback on P.O., so thought I would give it a try.

I've seen postings as to which section is best for CBR.. Any
suggestions on PO, for better rooms, better access to transport and the other facilities????

I have stayed at CBR and absolutely loved it! I heard so many horror stories about transportation, long walks, waits for busses, walking to port royale (main food area) etc. When I got there all I could think was ...WOW people will complain about ANYTHING they can...LOL It was terrific, we stayed at Martinique which was very close to the Food, pool, and bus stop, however we had friends in Trinidad and the alleged "long walk" was nothing really...and trust me I'm the first to complain of long walks epspecially in the heat! My husband and I are both overweight smokers and if the walks around CBR didnt bother us I'm sure you will have nothing to worry about. The busses run constantly we were at the parks in no time at all, maybe 15 minutes tops if that. I have never stayed at POR so I cannot compare, but CBR was fabulous and newly renovated as well. I reccomend it highly...remember Martinique for convenience!

I'm a big believer that logistics at WDW is as important as anything else while staying on Disney sites. So far, the best logistical site I have found was the Beach Club......but it's too pricey unless you go off season.

I was able to wal to Epcot in just over 5 minutes!
