Port of Galveston

Is there anything within walking distance of the Port of Galveston where we can wait? We are going to have to be dropped off around 9:00am and our PAT isn't until 1:00pm.

The building SHOULD open around 10:30 so you won't be waiting a real long time. There is some downtown shops around and a coffee shop.

There are quite a few interesting stores and places to eat along The Strand which is a block or two inland from where the ship docks. But I don't know where you would put your luggage until you can check it with the porters. I think there is also a Starbucks across the street with an out door sitting area.

Bring a jacket. It can be quite chilly that time of year.
