Port Huron Grocery Near Bridge

DH and I have decided that we would rather pick up our snacks/food/etc. for the car once we crossed the border to avoid any potential hassles. I thought I remembered a thread a while ago about a grocery store that is near the bridge after you cross but I can't find it. Does any one know if there is one, and if so how we would get there?

When you cross keep to the right and follow into Fort Graxoit...there are all kinds of grocery, kroeger's ect....if you follow the main road out about 10 mins past Birchwood mall, there is a super Walmart...it's open 24 hours...they also have gas station there which usually has the least expensive gas on that strip.

that's 10 min from bridge not 10min from Birchwood! Sorry that sounded like such a long way!

I was just in Port Huron a few weeks ago and like the previous poster said just turn right just after you clear US customs and follow along the main drag and you will see a Krogers on the right. If you go past Birchwood Mall there is a Meijers and Super Walmart on the left. Both have grocery stores in them. The Target in the mall has some groceries but not a lot.
You are smart to wait until you cross over to get groceries. They cross examined us when we were going over. The computer picked us for a random check so we had to go into US customs and they searched my sister's van. Of course we didn't have anything exciting for them to find but the kids thought it was fun.
