I agree with mommasita...might be best to check out dave's web site. look for the link to car rental. He breaks down the 3 agencies to include the positive/negative - very informative.
good luck - not sure about budget being the closest - i think that Avis is less distance from office to port. k
I ended up reserving with Budget. I used the Costco code and got a full size car for $35.01 for one day. On the return to MCO I got a full size for $41.87. Not too bad. Thanks for all your help.
My 1 day rate is 32.44 total. I think the code I used was through Upromise. I am also a fast break member, not sure if that changed anything, I booked abouit a month ago. Almost forgot, it's for a full size.
Epcotbill - did you sign up for fastbreak? I did and called to add it to my rental. It made the price $5 cheaper. I'm guessing it has to do with being a fastbreak member.
I did sign up for Fastbreak. The Costco code was cheaper. I also checked the AAA code it was a little higher. My rental is for Oct. 22 & 30. We're going the day before the cruise and staying one night at Pop Century (maybe POFQ if AP rates come out) then driving to the port. BTW it's a Royal Caribbean cruise on The Mariner of the Seas. Can you guys tell me what code you used? Maybe it's one I qualify for.
I got 23.28 (with taxes for a intermediate car) with Avis for next month using the code from the Entertainment book. I have not been able to find anything cheaper. But, I cannot get that rate for the return trip.I'm gonna keep trying.
My Budget, Full size rental at a total of 32.44 is also on October 22nd! I checked and did book the Upromise rate and with Fastbreak. Coming back I'm renting the 27th thru the 31st so five days for total of 163.49.
