Port Caneveral & Food?

Hi all...DH and I are going on a cruise out of Port Caneveral in September. I think I remember Bob talking about some restaurants and shops in that area. We'll be flying in the day before we leave so we'll have some time to blow. I'm pretty sure the plan is to fly into Orlando, drive to the coast, and hang out in that area until the cruise. We will have a a car so transportation isn't an issue.

Suggestions on where to eat? What to do? Am I losing my mind or does someone also remember Bob talking about this? Thanks!

Sadly, unless you arrive VERY early in the day, you won't be able to visit the Kennedy Space center as the tours end at around 1:00 PM.

There are several restaurants right next to the port area where you can eat and watch the ships sail out the day before (if any).

You might want to review this thread that offer TONS of excellent advice about the area.

I remember Bob and Corey talking about a seafood place that Bob always stopped at when at Kennedy Space Centre. He got take out to eat on the way home with Corey after they had already eaten. Sorry but I don't remember the name....he stopped on the way home from the podcast at the same place but in Orlando. Maybe the Best of Bob show will have the name if you have a chance to listen to it again. Sorry that I could not be more helpful.
