Exactly.

Walked into seatac on a gorgeous, beautiful, clear day not during any difficult time of year...to find chaos because some storms on the east coast had caused problems across the country. So many cancelled flights because the planes couldn't get to the west coast to be used for our flights...

Yep!! We just happened to pull in at 10:00 am on the nose and there were no other cars around. When we stopped at the gate the attendant said go on up to the curb, you are the first car they are letting in to drop off. We were at the curb a good 3 minutes or so before any other car showed up. That was a first. Usually we have to jockey for position at the curb to drop luggage off. Last year we got to the port at 9:58 and was told to circle around and come back.

Yeah and circling around is no picnic either. Between that and having to wait a hour in line, having a heavy carry on, DCL calling about 4 numbers at once and that causing a rush of people boarding at once, we were a little frustrated by the time we got on the ship. It was our first cruise so live and learn. I ask my family if we wanted to wait till about 12 for our next one (considering their experience last time) and they said NO we want to get there at 10! This time my carry on will be on wheels though.
