Look online at the price. There is no discount. Prices are set for the length of the cruise. I think it is $128 now for a 7 night DCL cruise. There are offsite places that are slightly cheaper.

we parked at an offsite place last time to save some $ and will never do that again. we arrived at the parking facility at 9:30 and had to sit and wait for " clearance from the ship" for them to start transporting us. We arrived at the terminal around 11 and found long lines to even get into the terminal! This time we are parking at the port.
We stayed at one of the hotels that offer the 40% off voucher last December and it worked out great. If you are staying at a hotel the night before anyway it's a great way to go. We paid $70-something for a 7-day cruise.
https://www.portcanaveral.com/Cruise/Directions-Parking It is the same price whether you pay in advance or at the terminal day of departure.
I have heard they have good hotel deals if you already staying in one before the cruise.

To clarify: There is a discount from participating local hotels for 40% off the amount. There is not a discount for prepayment.
For OP, it depends on what it costs to spend a night at one of the participating hotels. If you need a place to stay near the port, using them and the 40% discount is a great way to go.
I haven't been on a Disney Cruise yet, but we did leave out of Port Canaveral for a 7-day Carnival Cruise. We used Park Port Canaveral (across from the Radisson about 3 mi from the port). We paid half the cost of parking at the Port and really had no issues. Yes, you have to take a shuttle to the port and there was some waiting involved, but saving ~$70 to spend on the boat was worth it to us. You're paying for convenience at the Port, so personal preferences and financial situations will offer up various opinions here.
We stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Titusville the last time we were down for a cruise. It worked out really well for us was close enough to the Port to be convenient and offered the 40% off parking for the terminal. We always like to just park at the port so we can hop off the boat when we get back and just head out quickly, so the 40% off was just a bonus for us since we were paying for a hotel room anyway.
We just stayed at the new Homewood Suites by Hilton in Port Canaveral. They are one of the participating hotels and we got our 40% off voucher for parking directly at the port. Even without the voucher I would park at the port. It is just so convenient to leave the ship and go to your car. We parked on the 3rd level of the garage (where the walking bridge over to the terminal is) and it worked out great. When we disembarked the porter took our luggage for part of our group to the bus back to airport, some of us at the curb for pick up and the rest right to the garage for loading in the car. He was fantastic.
