So I checked in our 2 reservations for our family one right after another, but noticed the port arrival times and boarding groups are different. The same one wasn't available when I checked in the 2nd group, even though it was right after I did the first and was a later check-in than right at 30 days because we had to move our cruise due to positive COVID tests last minute. Anyone else experienced this post COVID rules and can explain what you did and how strict they are with one reservation arriving out of order?

Just like Southwest Airlines, you can always move back, but not forward!!! They are extremely strict and will tell you to come back.

You can arrive later than your PAT, just not earlier. If you are all traveling together, plan to arrive for the later PAT/boarding group. You can also continue to check if earlier PATs open up.

This is what I thought, just didn't know if they'd have an issue with a later arrival as well and wanted me to get them all on the same time and boarding group somehow. Just surprised me I checked in like 12 days before my rescheduled cruise and did it on the day we rescheduled and got 2 different PATs

I had this same thing happen on our January 8th cruise, our PAT was three hours apart for our two staterooms. I took a chance and arrived at our earlier PAT. I gave them the reservation number with the earlier PAT time first, and they allowed both staterooms to check in at the same time. Same with our boarding groups.

Yes, it does happen. But I wouldn't count on it. Just as many have been told to wait for the later group, if they want to board together.
