We are sailing from Port Everglades next month on the Dream.

We have on board reservations on embarkation day for 1pm (Beverage Tasting, not available later in the cruise) and a massage for 1:30pm but were only able to get a PAT for 1:30. Is there anyway other than to check repeatedly for an earlier time to open up to be able to make these two events or are we out of luck?

Thanks in advance!

Yes. Just keep going back into online check in to check for earlier PATs. I've done it before (though I think I only moved up about half an hour, but still).

Keep in mind PAT is the time you arrive at port, not necessarily the time you board. By 1:30, they'd be doing open boarding so you should theoretically be able to walk right on, but if you get an earlier PAT (say, 11:30) you may not board right away. Just something to keep in mind when doing PAT math.

Are both activities for the same individual(s)? You'll probably either need to leave the tasting a few minutes early or arrive late for the massage, which might cut it short by the time you arrive at the spa and check-in and get to your treatment room. In addition to adjusting the PAT, I'd be looking to push that massage a little later so you aren't rushed. You won't even have had time to grab lunch or drop your carry-ons at your stateroom yet with that schedule.

No the tasting is for my husband and the massage is for me. :) So I'm only worried about whether we will be able to get on the ship in time to do them. I'm happy to do a massage later in the cruise but the tasting is not available later so hope we are able to find a port arrival time that lets him do it.

I'm surprised that they allow bookings for things before port arrival times are issued and then can't adjust based on pre made reservations.

Honestly, nowadays with how everything is going with the tiered check-in it is much harder to snag in earlier PAT especially one that is early as you would need to be on the ship in time.

Of course keep checking but the reality is you will likely need to cancel those activities. Make sure you cancel them three days before sailing so you don’t get charged
