About POR: We absolutely loved this resort, we didn't commmando tour the parks because we found POR to be a vacation in itself. When we stayed there last April it was 98% sold out. You would never have known it. We swam quite a bit in both the main pool and the quiet pool right by our room. Both were great and even the main pool didn't ever feel crowded and there were always chairs. The frig in the room was a huge bonus for us and the room decor was very nice (we were in the Alligator Bayou section). Our stay at Pop the preceeding January was a bit different. We certainly enjoyed our stay because the theming is fun and you are at WDW so what's not to love? On the other hand the resort was no where near capacity (it was very off season) but the place felt crowded morning, noon and night. The food court was like a dorm cafeteria. The food was fine it was just packed to the gills. Probably due to shorter park hours, everybody didn't want to waste park time eating dinner so they all headed to the food court to eat. Total nightmare. I cannot imagine what that place would be like if it was sold out. The room was very clean and nice but you could hear the conversation of our next door neighbors (wondering if they should refinance their mortgage). At POR we never heard anything, maybe the folks next to us were just really quiet, I don't know. After that stay at Pop our new criteria for a value was no more than 4 nights and we actually preferred All Star Movies because we liked the food court better. I would still stay at Pop but I would have to get a really great rate that would save me a sizeable sum of money before I did.
I think you will be really happy at POR. Have a great trip!
