We are planning to go to WDW in Dec 2009 so have been checking prices at POR for same time this year 3rd - 13th Dec to give an idea of what we would be paying. POR is showing as no availablity. Is this normal for this resort 9 months out or is something taking place there this year?

Just checked Disney.com Your dates are available at Porfq Total:$1,677 (£830)
Personally I use Hotelopia on there for £869. There is a code available to give 11% discount and you can claim 10% cahback thru rpoints.com Total you would pay is £696
Next year discounts could be totaly different but gives you an idea.
If you can get AA discount or AP rate then direct might be better option.

I've managed to get a quote for porfq from Disney.co.uk at £740, but really wanted to stay at Port Orleans riverside (sorry for confusing you with my bad abbreviations in the original post!) Any idea why that is showing no availablity?

No, not a clue but they are similar prices. We are staying at Riverside for 3 nights in August, cost me £70/night it was about £2/night more than FQ.

I think pop warner uses POR as one of its resorts. Dates are 6th-13th this december so could be why.

Thanks wideeyes, is this likely to be the same next year do you know? and if so would it be best to choose another onsite resort to stay in?
