POR vs OKW

Originally had planned to house our family of 5 adults in 2 connecting rooms at POR. We're strongly considering one villa at OKW now because of Disney's summer offer of up to 30% off deluxe and deluxe villas. The total price (tix, meal plan, room) for our 3 nights/4 day vacation is approx $400 more at OKW. We have stayed at POR before (4 of us in 1 room) and loved it. Is it worth spending a few hundred more for a deluxe villa at OKW?

For me, it's worth the extra $ to try a new deluxe resort. I've heard the OKW villas are the largest Disney villas, too. OKW looks beautiful, and with that many adults it will be nice to be by downtown disney imo (which you would be with PO Riverside too).

I have never stayed at POR but have stayed at OKW. I will say the Villas are very large. However, I felt that OKW lacked the Disney Magic. It just felt like we were renting a condo in Orlando. I went home from that trip feeling like we had stayed off-site.

it is so worth it! we love OKW! The amount of money you will save just on bottled water will make it up. we always stay there because of the kitchen. It is so nice to be able to eat breakfast before you leave and have snacks when you come back after youve been all day in the park . Plus you have so much room to spread out because you have the living room and places to sit.
We love the main pool and the boardwalk area and it is full of disney magic!
Plus you never feel overcrowded. Try it I don't think you will be dissapointed!

You might also conaider the option of renting points from a DVC member for the stay and seeing if that cost is lower than the rate you were quoted for the room.
