POR vs CBR

I have stayed at POR 2x and was thinking of staying at CBR for our next trip it will be 3 adults and 3 children ages 3,2,1.

My concern is it looks huge, is it hard to get to the food court or main pool area?

We were big POR fans until having to switch to CBR for Free Dining years ago. We haven't been able to go back since. I think your kids would absolutely love the splash area. It's perfect for little ones.

As far as size goes, if you remove the Pirate Themed rooms in Trinidad South CBR has the same foot print as POR. It is very easy to get to OPR (food court, arcade, store) and the main pool. The vast majority of non-Pirate Themed rooms are a 4-7 minute stroll to OPR and the main pool. Every village has its own bus stop and leisure pool so you are never far from one. Before our first stay at CBR I too was worried about the size, but was amazed at how easy it was to get around. We have stayed a couple times with our car and it never moved until we checked out.

I have stayed many times at POR and just came back from my first time at CBR. I love POR and prefer it but for your kids ages I think CBR has a better pool because it is zero entry and has a separate kids play area. The new rooms are very nice but I would definitely recommend getting a preferred location so you are close to the food court and pool because some of the standard buildings are very far.

We've never stayed at POR, but we loved everything about CBR. The resort is large and spread out, but we didn't think it was bad walking anywhere. I agree with the pp's that I think the kids would love the pool as it has as fun pirate theme. Since you've stayed at POR twice already, I'd give CBR a try for something new. Good luck.

I've stayed at both, but would only stay at CBR again in a preferred room. The resort is so massive it has a shuttle bus that runs around picking up guests to take them to the main building. It is not hard to get to the main pool or food court, but if you book a standard room you could have a bit of a walk.

We stayed at CBR this past fall with our 5 and 3 yo and loved it! I didn't think that it was too far to anything (we didn't have a preferred room) Our kids loved the pool, playgrounds and transportation was great. We are thinking of switching to POR next fall but my concern there is the shared transportation with POFQ since we rely on the buses while there.
