POR to WL?

If taking disney transit..how do you get from PO riverside to wilderness lodge? We would like to try Whispering Canyon restaurant. THX

I would take the bus from POR to MK. Then the boat from MK to WL.

I believe that you would have to go either to the TTC (ticket & transportation center) and then hop a bus over to WL. I can't remember if the buses at POR take you directly to the parks, or to the TTC. (I believe it's straight to the parks) So your next option would be to take the bus to MK and before entering the park, go and take the little ferry boat to WL.

I agree the bus to MK then the boat to WL is probably the quickest way. The other alternative would be to hop on the boat from POR to Downtown Disney then grab the resort bus to WL.

Or the bus to DTD, then the WL bus.

We are in the exact same boat (forgive the pun). We are staying at POR and eating at WCC one night.
We were at the Contemporary last year and went to WCC to eat, and we left the Cont. marina.
So, for something different, you could take the bus to the TTC, catch the monorail to CR, take the elevator down to the first floor, walk out back to the marina, and catch the boat to the WL.

Note: Last year, after our boat ride there, it fell a flood. The boats quit running! Not being familiar with the WL, we panicked; after calming, we found their bus stop and took the bus to the TTC. From the TTC, you can get to almost anywhere.

Did you see the old movie Planes, Trains, and Automobile???? ( No particular reason for the dancing man....I just haven't seen him today.)

We just did this last month. We took a bus from POR to MK. Walked right over to the boat to WL. It didn't take long. We were told to allow an hour for all the transportation to get there. You definitely need that much time so you don't have to hurry. We arrived early for our PS, but still had to wait an extra 25 minutes because they were running behind. There is plenty to explore while you wait. When we left WCC we took the boat back to MK. We saw Wishes from the boat. Have fun!
