POR slide vs. POFQ slide

Just curious if the slide at POR is longer(more fun for teens) than the one at POFQ?

Hi, I've never seen either of them personally but I've been researching these myself today and most people have posted that POR is better for teens. The slide is a little longer and the theming is more "mature" than at POFQ. Seems POFQ is geared more towards younger children and it is a smaller, tamer slide where you can see your child coming down the whole way where the POR slide has part of it running through a bit of landscaping. Your teens will probably like POR better. I'm not sure what link I was looking at but I searched the forum for POR waterslide pictures I think and I saw a few pics. If I find the exact link later, I'll post it for you

We went to both pools during our 2007 POR trip..

Now neither pool slide is a “ride” or such like that. Just so folks understand.

The POR one was longer and say if you were a kid under 10 or so, it was better..

FQ was nice, shorter though and a tad “tamer”. Tame is relative and both slides are slow and great for younger kids.

Our kids are 9 and 7 and did a few trips but had more fun with the general pool area and the water spouts and such then the rides.

After a full day at Typhoon Lagoon, the resort pools just did not have a thrill for them

But if you have a kid under 5, I vote FQ. That one seemed to have more appeal.

Granted I did not ride the FQ one. But I did give POR a spin 

Thanks. DD13 is not a big thrill seeker and she will probably like the slide at POR slightly better than the one at POFQ(where we will be staying).

Glad to help! I'm researching for our first trip to WDW so I usually can't contribute much except what I've already found on this site Hope you have a great time! We'll be there in 2008, but not sure whether to stay at POR or POFQ. What made you decide on POFQ if you don't mind me asking?

We went to the big pool at the POR once with our teens and we ended up going to the quiet pool by our room everyday after that. It is a slide but not a very big one. It is more geared toward the little kids. But then after staying at the BC no other pools compare!

They are both pretty tame as far as slides go.

Benn to both. Although the slide at POFQ is shorter, it makes a great video or picture. Plus, I love the sight of the sea serpent popping out of the ground all around the pool grounds.
