POR Sept Request

Hi All!
Quick question. DH and I are heading to WDW in September. We stayed at POR last year and were very disappointed in our room location. Not the resort or the room, just where we were at. This was in May BTW.
What are our chances of getting any requests we make? We didn't get any last year. We are wanting to stay in a specific part of the resort. Since it's going to be less crowed I'm hoping we get what we want.
