POR Royal Rooms?

So Dh and I will be going in Dec. I have a current reservation for a garden view at POR but I just called for military and they are able to upgrade me to a royal room for basically the same price.

Has anyone stayed in them? Are they fun rooms? They look fun. I like their location from what I can see on the maps. Is it worth it?

They are pretty, done up in royal purples and blues. Some feel they are girly, but I disagree. If you're not paying more for the room, go for it!

They are very pretty. I've stayed in them twice now. One thing to remember is that there is no ceiling fan in them. I tend to get very hot at night and like to have a ceiling fan.

I liked the location of them once I got used to them. One time I was kind of out of the way in the area where it would have just been a short walk to POFQ, the other time I was a hop, skip and a jump to the bridge over the river - an easy walk for food or to the buses.

Since you can get one for the same price as a garden view room, I would go for it.

The theme is really cute and well done. And it's a great location. Maybe not worth the extra they usually charge but if you're not paying extra, go for it.

We really like the RR and knowing that we are in the mansions. We like to fax in our request for close to walking bridge and Oak Manor.

I loved my royal room a few years ago. We did walk a bit staying in one but glad we experienced it.
