Are the royal rooms ever included in the Disney discount promotions? TIA!

Yes! My family stayed in a 20% off RR at POR last year. Though they were offered via Disney, we booked the rooms and they 20% discount on Orbitz and got an additional %10 discount thanks to a promo code. I can't speak for future discounts, but we definitely got one last year. The rooms were great, too!

Yes. We have one for next week with a 35% annual passholder discount. We leave Friday. Yay!

Yes, I saw royal rooms available under the Awaken Summer room discount offer when it first came out.

I had an AP discount. We had booked a GV room and requested Oak Manor, room facing courtyard on river side of building. Had a great room location looking out at the fountain. 2nd floor.

Yep, it brought them down to standard room price during the Awaken Summer Discount. They were available for months after the start of the discount, so they don't sell out too quickly.
