POR Royal Room Quick Question

I read on another forum that the bedding changed at POR Royal Rooms to a stark white - no throw pillow or ornate throw comforter. This change happened in April 2017. Has anyone stayed in a POR Royal Room recently? What is the bedding like? We splurged to get this room for 2 days of our vacation and my daughter is really looking forward to all of these little details. I'm hoping that is just a rumor!

I stayed in September 2016 and the bedding was white. Perhaps there was a decorative liner at the foot of the bed but there was no comforter.
There was one cylinder shapeddecorative pillow on each bed.
If those things are no longer there it would not take away the overall magic of the room.

We were there for hurricane irma in september and there is no longer the decorative cover at the bottom nor the pillow bolt. I think it looks terrible when u enter looks like a white sheet is your bed cover.

Just the 2 white top sheets with a thin blanket between them. But the room still has plenty of detail.

I heard they did this at most resorts as people were stealing them.

This is how it looked when we walked into our room in July. The beds look so bare compared to all of the other details in the room. Still loved the room despite the no frills bed. Enjoy your vacation. [GALLERY=][/GALLERY]

Yep, WDW has been doing away with the little runner and pillow on most/all their resorts. Truthfully, we always took them off the bed and stuck them in the closet area, never to be seen again

Me too! Always! Easier done than those dirty huge heavy bedspreads.

Was there mid August and it was just white bedding, I was kind of bummed and my DH told me to not bother saying to the front desk since it was summer and he just assumed that they don't give you the comforter or pillows during the season. I am surprised that they would take it all away but at the end of the day, the germaphobe in me is kind of glad since the number of times a comforter or decorative throw is washed is likely limited. Here is what it looked like at check in. I will say after I got over it, the rest of the room details were enough to keep us all happy and my girls loved it all!! The fireworks steal the show.
