Hi!

I am reallly excited, we just booked a last minute trip to Disney and we are staying at POR. (That dining plan along with the a HUGE sale at the Airline just was too good to pass up  ). We have not done WDW in two years! (last year we opted for the WDW cruise, expensive, but oh - so much fun) .

It's just me and the kids (first time I have ever done that, and I am a little nervous about it :earseek: ). We are trying to do this trip with a tight grip on budget (so hubby will let me do it again sometime soon!)

I have never been to POR, so here is my question. I plan to bring some of those individual cereals that are prewrapped in a bowl, so we can eat them in the room in the morning and get going to the parks right away. Save money and time, right? Is there a store at PO that sells milk? We are using Magical Express from the airport so we can't do a grocery stop on the way in.

Thanks!

Yes, absolutely. There is a pretty good selection of stuff in the gift shop area and you can also buy smaller size cartons of milk in the food court.
If you wanted to have some groceries delivered, I would recommend wegoshop.com. They can deliver dairy, fresh produce and general groceries right to your room. You would go to their website, put your order in and give them a time you would like to have your stuff delivered. THere is a small delivery fee, of course. But, with the price of foodstuffs at the resort shops, sometimes you break even and get exactly what you want. We did that on our last trip last month and it was wonderful.

Thanks so much Goofy4tink!!

I am so looking forward to POR, and I have searched this forum and found so much good information already on this resort. Does anyone have any other tips or info that might help make our vacation Magical at POR?

Here is what I know already.

I am prepared about the bussing situation, and will trek to the main depot in the morning. Hopefully we wont be too far from it.
I have requested a building close to the food court.
I have not paid for a water view.
I am going to get the refillable cups, I think it will be worth it for us, -- I am a coffee drinker and the kids luv hot chocolate.
I am hoping for the AB section (have a request in for that).

Anything else I should keep in mind?
TIA

1st of all you can buy 1/2 gallons of milk in the store for around $2.99, We really enjoyed our 1st stay at POR in December! Dont forget to feed the ducks, go fishing, take a carriage ride, Make reservation's for the campfire, and take the boat to Downtown Disney! :goodvibes

Does POR have a campfire???? We stayed there last year and I didn't know anything about it - does anyone have more info such as location @ POR? I knew the campground did a nightly campfire but not POR.
