We have stayed there several times over the past few years. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Our most recent stay was at POFQ, but we did walk over to POR to visit w/ friends staying there. Their room was in pristine condition, (They were in the mansion section, Acadian house). The pool is being renovated so it is blocked off, I didn't think it detracted from the beauty of the resort.
