We have a reservation for a carriage ride at 8:00. It takes approximately 1/2 hour. I was wondering what time the River Roost Loung w/Bob Jackson gets started. We would be done the carriage ride at 8:30 - is that too early? We have small children so we didn't want to stay too late but could move it up to 8:30-9:00 if the River Roost doesn't get going until then. Thanks.

Bob plays Wednesday to Saturday from 8:30 till 11:00 ish.

I've always seen Bob interact very well with the kids. There are always kids there so it isn't a problem.

Hi,

Kids are an integral part of Bob,s show as is the whole audience. It is good family entertainment. At least that is what we found for the first half of the evening - couldn't stay after intermission. Think you will enjoy it a lot. Have fun!!

The problem is seating - if you have children you want to get there early and sit near the piano and by early I mean 7p, at least. We got there at 7:45 and there wasn't a seat ANYWHERE - the closest was in the lobby.

Bob played Wednesday thru Sunday evenings from 8:30 'til Midnight. His show is excellent for kids; he really gets them involved. This is not really adult entertainment, even though it is in a lounge. It is family entertainment and is good for all ages. :rotfl2:
You'll be amazed by how many names of guests he can remember! Get there early for a good seat, as mentioned earlier.

While you're at the River Roost Lounge, try the Nacho Platter. It's pretty good and reasonably priced.

Ditto. BIL and I shared one during a Monday Night Football game last November and it was outstanding!

My kids LOVE Bob, he's so much fun! My son even got to "help" with a song when he ran up to Bob between songs to get his autograph. He had my son sit down on the piano bench with him! Too cute!

We went last Saturday. We had no problem finding a seat. We arrived after 8. There were 6 in our party.

We always start the vacation out with Bob. :) From now on first night of the vacation is always POR just for that. Then the morning is breakfast at Boatwrights for some banana stuffed french toast. mmmmmmmmmmmm.

Bob is great kids and adults have a great time. Taking my parents to see him for the first time next summer... can't wait!

I've been thinking about my previous post, that is it hard to get a seat....and then I remembered that it probably had alot to do with it being 45 degrees and raining (1st week of March 2005); so there probably weren't a whole lot of people outside....I know that's why we "stayed in" that night.

Bob's show is so much fun and everyone will enjoy it. He makes everyone participate at some point. I agree with the above advice in that you'll have to get there early because Riverroost will fill up fast. He will usually invite the kids up to the stage area at some point and do a song or two with them. Last year we were so tired after driving up part of day/night but my mom has never seen his show so I forced her to get up for it and she had a blast and didn't want to leave before it ended but we had an early day the next morning so stayed until 11:30. He is a blast and a true showman.
